In this course assignment we were asked to create a poster for a campaign for the company A21 Norway.
The task consisted of research, idea development, planning, photoshoot, editing and designing. The poster was supposed to look impactful with a message relating to the issues A21 stands for. The photograph would be the main focus point, however we stood free to do text and illustration.
I decided for my approach to be focusing on the workers from eastern europe, more specifically Lithuania. There has been a lot of Polish people working in Norway for quite a few years now, however they’ve established a life in Norway, even their families moved here, and they know more of the language, the system and the laws in Norway. However there exist a large group of lithuanians, and other eastern europeans that are being trafficked through to Norway to work for low payments, inhumane living conditions and workhours outside the legal limit. They accept the conditions because they don’t speak the language, they are scared, afraid to loose the job or it’s no opportunity to get work in their own country. Human trafficking is very much alive in Norway today, and has become worse during the covid pandemic.
